Hosting and delivery
The sites run on Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time, page, browser and country to deliver the sites and protect them from attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running them securely and fast (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, builds no profiles and only shows us aggregated numbers, such as how often a page was viewed and from which countries. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Country cookie
We remember the country whose pages you viewed last in the cookie “market”, so the site shows that country on your next visit. It only contains the country code, is needed for this function and expires after one year.
Newsletters and “Notify me”
When you sign up for a newsletter or for a notification about a game, we store your email address, the chosen country, the site and the time. The data is kept at Cloudflare and at the email service Kit (ConvertKit LLC, USA), which sends the emails. Kit measures whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us; we then delete your address. Transfers to the US are covered by the safeguards in Kit’s data processing agreement.
Game images
Cover art is loaded directly from Sony Interactive Entertainment’s servers (image.api.playstation.com), which receive your IP address and browser data. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in showing the games with their official images.
Fonts and links
All fonts are served from our own servers; nothing is sent to Google. Links to the PlayStation Store, Patreon, PayPal and other sites are plain links: only when you click them do the privacy policies of those providers apply.
Affiliate links
Some links to Eneba (PS Plus codes) and Amazon (accessories) are affiliate links; they are marked as such on the page. If you buy something there after clicking, we may earn a commission; the price stays the same for you. Our sites store nothing and load no tracking for this: only the click tells the provider, through the link, that you came from us, and it sets cookies on its own site. The privacy policies of Eneba and Amazon apply to that. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Just send us an email. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
